Summary: Flexes a bit.
Comment: Not sure about this. It could be better. Seems to flex a bit and if accuracy is really important, I would not trust it. If you absolutely need an edge guide and you cannot build a fixture to guide your router then I would buy this.

Comment: I found it very easy to attach to the router and very easy to adjust. I would highly recommend this attachement. They should probably ship them with the router. It makes it much easier to route straight lines.

Comment: My newer routers are DeWalt, so I bought this item to use with them. The thing is mostly plastic, but has some good points, but not nearly as good as the Porter-Cable edge guide. My first use caused me to ruin some very expensive wood, even after testing it first on scrap wood several times. It seemed to work just fine on the scrap, but when I tried it on hardwood, no such luck. I gave it 3 stars, because my technique may have been somewhat at fault. So I'll just give advice to practice using it on hard as well as soft wood before using it on the real thing. Better still, use a router table when precision is needed.

Comment: DeWalt 'asianizes' yet another product. As a somewhat advanced furniture maker this accessory will not hold up for me. The dust collector nozzle has already broken albeit it does not affect the performance of the guide. Not near as robust as the guide that come with Bosch routers, but it won't fit the Dewalt 621 plunge router which is perhaps the best plunge router on the street.The guide looks like it was stamped out of a chinese license plate. The guide works for now,which is about all I can say. If you want accuracy,durabiity,and value contact Pat Warner - google "routerman".

The micro-adjustment sets this guide apart from others in its price range. It’s easy to adjust with a turn, and it’s marked clearly in white, so it’s easy to read. Setup is a breeze, and we got great results. Our favorite feature is the dust collection port, which, when hooked up to a standard shop vac, really kept the sightline clear of chips and curls. Construction is sturdy. If you don’t have an edge guide in your shop, this one’s definitely worth considering. Its virtues: easy setup, nice fine-tuning mechanism, accuracy and clean chip removal.
