Comment: I'm restoring windows that are over a hundred years old. The Bosch 1942 14.3 Amp Heat Gun handled multiple layers of paint very well. After heating the surface I was able to remove the paint with ease and the glazing was easily removed as well. The stand is a very nice feature and just makes sense to have on this type of device. If I had to make one minor complaint it would be that the cord isn't long enough, but like I said it's minor. Overall I'm very pleased with the overall performance and durability of the Bosch 1942 14.3 Amp Heat Gun.

Comment: If you have ever spent hours picking and scraping stickers, this device will add years to your life. I can't tell you how many times I have gone back to using this heat gun for many of my projects. Indispensible tool to have in any workshop. A+

Comment: My original lasted something like fifteen years and when I damaged it there was no question but that I would replace it with the same tool. This is probably the finest heat gun on the market today.

Comment: I don't use heat guns a lot but I was frustrated with NOT having a stand on the heat gun I had. As far as variable heat, just move what your heating closer or further away from the gun.
