Comment: This trimmer really handled the job, even sliced thru 1/2 inch branches and limbs!! Cord hook just needs to accomodate 12 guage extension cord...Otherwise this baby just wants to get the job done!!!

Comment: I did not expect the strongest hedge trimmer in the world, and, therefore, I cannot be disappointed by the "almost strong enough" power of the unit. Since I am using it to cut some mock orange and other ornamental bushes, it is accomplishing the purpose for which it was purchased. If you desire to trim branches more than one-quarter or three-eighths inch in thickness, I suggest that you purchase a gasoline powered unit. Otherwise, this unit is just what the doctor ordered.

Comment: The trimmer works well and performs as expected. However, the "lock-on" switch is very frustrating to use and can't get it to stay in the lock position most of the time. I land up using it without the lock which becomes tiring while having to hold the trigger the whole time during use. The cord retension barely accomodates a 14 gauge extension cord.

Comment: I am really happy with the product that I purchased. It is strong and sweeps through the branches and leaves with ease. The only thing I would change would be the safety. Once you let go of the "on" button during cutting, you have to start all over again. (but I understand the concept of it's reason for being that way) If you are looking to clean up your yard... this is excellent!

Comment: Just thought I would share my personal experience using this product. The trimmer works well didn't experience any problems after I used it a couple of times cuts well and even. However don't expect a trimmer that can cut exceptionally thick branches! As stated can cut up to 3/8" I would say probably that or a little less. For the reviewer that experienced severe problems... overheating and burn out, I suspect you may have used an extension cord that was not the correct gauge for the instrument... that can and would cause what you experienced with your machine. Personally would recommend this for the average gardener that just wants to keep hedges and shrubs in a neat manner.
