Spotlight customer reviews:

Customer Rating: Summary: Great saw, great price! Comment: This is a great saw and was at a great price. Works well, handles easily, glad I bought it. I would recommend it to others.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Saw for the Price Comment: This is my first 'sawsall' but as per the reviews - it's a great saw. It's been used to cut metal and took down 15 year old vines like nothing. I would recommend this saw to others.
Customer Rating: Summary: Grips blades well, unlike some others Comment: Most reciprocating saws now feature quick blade change mechanisms. Almost all have adequate amps. The difference in saws is whether the blade flops around in the quick change mechanism. Milwaukee holds blades firmly. Oddly, so does the inexpensive, battery powered Skill recip saw. I returned another brand with a flawed grip. Try before you buy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Machine but a Little Short on Storke Comment: I have had the 11 amp saw for about two years and it is a very good machine. I purchased it during a cedar fence construction project and have found dozens of other uses since. My only complaint is related to my own selection decision. I looked at both the 11 and 13 amp versions and decided to save a few bucks by buying the lower powered saw. The saw has plenty of power and does not bind, but the 3/4" stroke just doesn't work as fast as the 1-1/4" stroke with the 13 amp saw. I still rate it as five stars because this drawback is my own fault.
Customer Rating: Summary: missing a blade Comment: The saw itself is great - powerful and gets the job done. The product description said it came with two blades. Mine only came with one, a metal blade, so I had to go out to Home Depot and buy the blade I needed. OK, a minor inconvenience, but it added several bucks to the price and I do get irritated when the product I receive doesn't match its description. The price seemed excellent for the 11 amp model with case - just don't expect to be able to use it until you do some more shopping.

At 7 pounds, and featuring a Milwaukee-built 11-amp motor, the 6509-22 Sawzall reciprocating saw offers exceptional power to weight ratio and renowned durability. Other upgrades to the 6509-22 include a 0 ??? 2800 SPM variable speed trigger with 3/4-inch stroke length; a Quik-Lok blade clamp for fast, tool-less blade changes; a rubber boot for superior gripping; an adjustable shoe for longer blade life and more cut control. a double bearing wobble plate mechanism and lighter spindle for less vibration; all-round bushings; and a larger gear for longer life. Blades may be clamped upside down for special cutting needs. The tool is double insulated and has a heavy duty "S" jacket 8 foot two-wire rubber cord. It uses standard half-inch shank Sawzall blades and is ideal for general contractors, plumbers, electricians, builders, HVAC, steel fabrication, remodeling, deck building and plant maintenance applications.
