Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent cutoff tool for quick jobs Comment: I have a Dewalt 18 volt hammer drill that I love, so when my Makita angle grinder died, I bought a Dewalt replacement. I like the tool. It is easy to change blades and flexible in use because of the 18 volt battery pack. Power and torque is good for most cut off and grinding jobs, but the tool drags a bit during use with a wire brush for jobs like heavy paint stripping. The battery life is a factor with heavy use--more than with my Dewalt 18 volt drill. To be fair, the tool is not designed for this type of use. I would highly recommend this tool for a user who needs a fast and flexible cutoff tool or for a quick grinding job. For longer grinding or stripping jobs get a Dewalt corded angle grinder. It is very comfortable to use and well balanced. Just one thing, make sure to use a newly charged battery because it will run down older batteries rather quickly.
