Summary: Worked Great
Comment: I have a 12/12 pitch roof on a house that sits on top of a mountain. High winds can be a problem. Recently, I have had a few shingles blow off due to the high winds. The first time this happened, I paid someone $150.00 to replace the blown off shingles (about ten shingles and fifteen minutes worth of work). When 3 other shingles blew off recently, I decided I could not afford to pay someone each time this happened.
I ordered these ladder hooks, received them in about two days after ordering, and put them to use the next day. I must say these were easy to install on the ladder and worked great on the roof. I felt very comfortable working off the ladder. As some of the other posters said, these are no replacement for roof jacks and would not be good for shingling large areas of a roof since you have to work to the side of your ladder. However, if you only need to get on the roof for a few shingles or a specific spot to conduct a repair, these are great.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase and they more than paid for themselves with one repair.
