I have developed elbow and shoulder problems and the weight of this hammer has helped ease the sting. The other major benefit is the total weight decrease of the tool bags, making just walking around much more comfortable. This is a solid hammer for professionals. Bottom line, it's light, really light. You swing it faster with less effort, and it hits hard. Very well balanced, and swings great. Frame with it all day, and arm feels good. I do use it for an all around hammer as well, but it's a little too big for some stuff.
