Summary: Almost worth using...
Comment: I followed the directions exactly using a fresh Freud router bit and my trusty Hitachi router. The through cut came out just fine, but the second cut was almost 1/8" too narrow. I had to remove the template and use a rabbet bit to enlarge the cutout. I also had a little trouble with the thick foam tape they included to secure the template to the table; it seemed to compress a bit causing the depth of my cut to vary slightly. In the end, I think it would have been quicker if I had just made my own template following the (very good) instructions that came with the router plate.
