Summary: Very helpful but takes a few times to get the hang of it
Comment: This is the first clamp of this type that I have used.
I sort of expected the clamp to ratchet up and down, but that is not how it works.
You slide the handled part of the clamp up close to the item being clamped and then squeeze on the handle, which DOES ratchet tight.
I've used it several times to clamp boards down to my workbench and also to clamp board to my drill press table.
Works very nicely and I don't have the handle in my way, the way you can with 'quick clamps'.
