Summary: Not 100%, but better than most for filtering out the chlorine
Comment: I live in Miami FL in an apartment. Between the heavily chlorinated water supply and probably old pipes, my skin and hair had been SO dry. I usually have a thick head of hair, but I noticed that I was losing more and more strands after I shampooed in the shower. I tried several shower filters, but this one seems to be the best. As soon as I installed the filter, my hair was back to normal and my skin wasn't so dry. It was like a miracle. But each replacement filter doesn't last anywhere near the "six months" that is says on the package. I'd say it was more like 6 weeks, but again that could be our water supply. My hair and skin are great for the six weeks with a fresh filter. Add in the great price on this website (the same filter sells for almost $30 at my local Ace Hardware store!) and buying the filters here is a no-brainer. I highly recommend this unit.

Summary: Culligan Handheld showerhead with filter
Comment: My granddaughter has long thick hair which makes it difficult for her to shampoo properly. This product allows her to rinse both the dirt and the shampoo out of her hair. But, my daughter says that she is hooked on it too because the filter doesn't allow the hard water to dry her skin out. The way they are raving, I think I will have to get myself one soon.

Comment: Straight to the point:
Main reason I got this filter was for my baby amazon birds (parrots) as they shower with me. I notice a big difference in their feathers; they are more shiny and soft as there isn't any residue of chlorine when they dry.
I have also notice the difference in my skin. My shoulders, arms (elbows mainly) and hands used to get very dry, but not anymore. I do recommend this filter t anyone with similar situations as mine, or purposes.
Oh, by the way....it is very easy to install.

Summary: Great value, filter works well
Comment: Yet, not perfect. I don't have the equipment to measure the amount of pollutants it removes from my shower water, but it does take out most (but not all chlorine), and for this price that's all I really care about. The filter that came with the shower head didn't last long, but this is much better and is living up to expectations. No regrets, highly recommended.

Summary: Great shower filter!
Comment: In Los Angeles county, the water treatment plant heavily douse chlorine. Your skin absorb it, and you breath it in from the steam. This filter drastically cut the amount of chlorine that you come in contact. My skin isn't dried, itchy, and scratchy. GREAT PRODUCT!
