Customer Rating: Summary: do not buy Comment: I bought this tool a year ago. After two weeks it would heat up so hot you could not hold it. Then it lost all power...It has limped along since then.
Customer Rating: Summary: bought this for the hubby Comment: Hey men and their tools huh ? Ok, the husband says he wants this so I bought it for him for his birthday. Now on most days, it is hard to keep his attention when I talk but if we touch on the subject Sawzall, then I have his undivided attention, lol. This saw still is working and I don't hear any swear words, so I think he is pleased with it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not the Sawzall of yore... Comment: I am a heavy Sawzall user, having used-up two Milwaukee Sawzalls. I had great luck with Milwaukee Sawzall number one and two, so when two wore out and died after a long, useful life, I saw this Orbital Super Sawzall on Amazon and purchased my third Sawzall.
I got about 3-weeks of use out of it and absolutely hate it! The Orbital feature is not all that great, and the selector switch to go between Orbital and reciprocating is designed poorly - my switch never worked easily and broke completely after 3-weeks, rendering the saw pretty much useless.
I am an avid tool junky and they get heavy use, having restored many vintage cars, remodeled (GUTTED) two houses, and as an owner of rental property. But I may never buy a Milwaukee Sawzall again after this experience.
All I ask for is a competent reciprocating saw, I don't need it to orbit or rotate or do any tricks...this saw does not fit the bill. I have had great luck with my Bosch jig saw and Compound-Miter-Chop saw that I will probably expand my Bosch tool set and get my next "Sawzall" from them...
Customer Rating: Summary: inferior Comment: We demand real work from our tools on real building sites. We purchased this tool and found frustrations quickly. If you don't hold the shoe adjustment lever closed with your hand it will vibirate loose and release the pivot shoe continously. We were demolishing a roof and it lasted all but four hours and then began "slipping" full time. The motor would run but the blade action lost all power. We had it replaced with another and it's cutting action began slipping right out of the case. We were cutting through 3/4" buffalo board and 3/4" pine siding, yet it kept slipping. We returned it to. The 20 year old Milwaukee sawzalls came out again and continued the job! I don't know if I will buy anymore Milwaukee tools because this has sure tainted our past success with Milwaukee tools.
Customer Rating: Summary: SUPER SAWZALL 6536-21 DUD Comment: WTF! USED SAW THREE TIMES AND IT NOW WON'T CUT. IT SEEMS TO HAVE LOST IT'S SAWING ACTION.I CUT SOME EXHAUST PIPE'S THEN USED IT ON A FEW WOODEN PALLETS.THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THAT I PURCHASED IT
WITH IN THE LAST MONTH AND AMAZON IS GOING TO REPLACE IT.

About this Sawzall Model The Orbital Super Sawzall reciprocating saw from Milwaukee has a high-powered 13 amp motor that provides fast, efficient orbital cutting action. Its variable speed trigger provides 0-3,000 spm, at a 1-1/4-inch stroke. This model has a counter-balanced design that gives you exceptionally smooth operation with less vibration to throw off your precision. The 6536-21 is packed with features that make it powerful, versatile, and convenient to use. Its gear protecting clutch permits the saw to withstand impacts, which will make your tool last longer, even with a few accidental drops or kicks in the workshop. The Quik-Lok blade clamp provides fast and easy blade changes for less downtime between tasks. This Sawzall kit comes complete with two Super Sawzall blades and a handy carrying case to keep it all together and organized. Applications The 6536-21 is the perfect choice for any task that requires a reciprocating saw; and depending on your Sawzall blade choice, you'll find that it cuts easily through wood and plastics, metal, pipes, and even wood with nails in it. Choosing a Sawzall Blade When selecting a Sawzall blade, first consider your project. Each Sawzall blade style has a series of icons on its packaging -- and these icons demonstrate the materials which the blades are best-suited to cut. There's a separate icon for a variety of materials, including wood, plastics, wood with nails, and metal. Next, decide on the proper blade shape to suit your project. Sloped blades are best for plunge cutting, straight blades are ideal for edge cutting, and scroll blades are used for cutting curved or circular shapes. Finally, be sure to pick a blade with the proper Teeth Per Inch (TPI). See the chart below for more information.
