Summary: Excellent, well machined product
Comment: An excellent product that makes changing bits a breeze. I've measured the runout on my Hitachi M12V router before and after installation of this extension and found that it only contributed to about a .002" additional runout. There doesn't seem to be any vibration increase as a result of this installation. Very happy with this product, and simply don't know how I got along without it all these years.

Comment: Don't buy the "other" bit extension its too big and dosen't come with a 1/4" collet. This one is more money but worth it.

Comment: I bought this to fit in my Porter-Cable 7518 3hp router mounted in a Jess-Em lift on a Bench Dog/Wood Haven table top.
This item is very well built and fit into my PC router without a hitch. Changing bits is a breeze. The only thing you could misplace is the hex wrench.
The only minor problem was that I no longer could use the smaller table inserts because of the size of this item; but I can't see where that's going to be a big issue.
It's nice not having to use two wrenchs any longer to change bits.

The single tool cutter changing eliminates searching for and holding the spindle lock while securing the collet with a wrench. Use the included 1/4" x 1/2" reduction sleeve to safely support your 1/4" shank cutters. NOTE: A 1-3/4" hole is required in the insert or table to allow the body of the extension to pass through for above table cutter changes.
