Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect gift for my husband! Comment: My husband wanted a cordless drill for Christmas. I had no clue where to even start looking... as you can probably tell, I am not in to tools and all :o) Thanks to Amazon and the wonderful reviews (guys' points of view) I got on this page, I ended up buying this drill... and Boy, was it a HIT?! My husband absolutely loved it! It's been a week since Christmas and he has already used the drill to put together all kinds of stuff (our son's toys to a smoker we got for Christmas). And everytime he uses it he tells me how much he likes his gift. Thank you Amazon and thank you everyone else for leaving such useful comments/reviews that helped me pick the perfect gift for my "hands-on" guy! Oh, I also bought the bolts and screws amazon recommended to buy with the drill. All together there was the drill plus two sets of nuts and bolts recommended by Amazon on this page. My husband appreciated that I bought those for him or he would've had to buy them separately. Thank you again!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Tool Comment: After looking around I think this tool is the best in class. I use it all the time around the house. I think battery life is great, and recharge time is very short. This is a great tool to have around the house.
Customer Rating: Summary: Poor Little Battery Comment: This is a well constructed toy, very handy and easy to use.
The battery cycle life is short due in part to the overall size, recharge time is great, that's good because you will be using that feature often.
I own both the Milwaukee 2401 & Makita 6935FD when I need a tool to get the job done, first time, every time, it's the Makita all the time. Having said that I like the Milwaukee & have no intention of sending it back, for home or small shop use it's great, for on the job use it falls short, if you're needs are not very demanding you will like this unit.
Customer Rating: Summary: great for avation work Comment: this compact screw gun/drill is great for working on helicopters and small aircraft as it gets in to manny small places the average air screwgun or or air drill motor cant go due to the air hose attached to it as for any thing else it maybe use for i dont know as i work in the avation industry
Customer Rating: Summary: New Model? Comment: I just got this drill in after taking back the Makita set I had been using for a few months. After using my buddies 2401 for a few weeks I decided I had to have one. First off I love the chuck its fast and has zero wobble. Second I dont think I will ever buy another tool without a battery indicator again, I love this. Third is feels better in my hand. Fourth to be honest it just plain looks nicer then the Makita. There are 2 things that i do miss from the Makita. First is the 2 speed option that is a big deal if you want to use it for drilling in which case I do but to be honest I rarely need more then 500 rps for anything I do. Even when going into wood I prefer not to use the faster speed in order to keep better control of depth. Second is the light delay which isnt too big of a deal but something i wish this drill had. Also on a side note I am not sure if this is a new model but on the box I received the Torque rating says 150 in lbs not 100 I am assuming this was recently changed. To be honest I cant tell the difference in torque comparing the makita to this drill.
