Summary: Still the best - B&D, I hope you're listening!
Comment: As a serious home hobbyist and auto & boat mechanic, I have put this screwdriver (actually the earlier model) through its paces for the several years I have owned it. Many other battery screwdrivers and drill-drivers have come and gone from my shop. This one keeps going, especially with the gold batteries.
Also for really tough jobs, it's size, shape and strength make it the toughest manually-powered screwdriver I own. I want to purchase another one soon before B&D discontinues the line. I keep watching, but nothing in the modern Lithium Ion offerings compares with the simplicity and versatility of the Versapack screwdriver.

Comment: This is a replacement screwdriver for one similar to it. It lasted for years and was time to be replaced. B&D seem to have moved on to a new line of products with replacable batteries (Lithium Ion). The screwdriver is lightweight and well made. Versa Pak is a good system that allows the replacable batteries to be used in many different tools, but like I said B&D has a new line out and I wanted to replace my old screwdriver while it was still available.

Comment: This system should be re-marketed to the home owner. It's the best out there for most jobs. It's light, fast enough, extremely convenient if you have two versapak batteriesBlack and Decker VP105 VersaPak 3.6-Volt 1.2 Amp Hour NiCad Stick Style Battery, 2 Pack. I'm going to start giving them for gifts. Beats the new, bulky powerhouse tools hands down!

Comment: This Black&Decker screwdriver comes with two sets of driver bits. It works very well, is very lightweight and compact and an excellent alternative to using a much heavier battery powered drill.
