Comment: I am old enough to view advertising with a significant amount of skepticism. The replacement head for my weed trimmer works great. No loss of string on my picket fence and no stops to repair snags on the factory furnushed head. A complete assortment of mounting hardware was a pleasent supprise.

Comment: This product performed poorly on longer grass, weeds & edging. I had to go over the same area several times. It's OK if all you want to trim is a manicured lawn.

Comment: I bought mine at home depot after the bolt fell off the original head in the grass and I could not find a replacement bolt. At first I thought it was going to conk out or wouldn't fit my homelite 25 cc. It took me no more than ten minutes to fit this one on.
I have tried this unit with all four strings and just two in opposition for better spin balance. I have to say it works much much better with just two of the four strings attached. The beauty of this product is that there is no more winding of the string on to the spindle head and the two strings that I snag in seconds last about two trimmings around the yard as long as I don't grind them into the rocks. I would also recommend to remove the shield around the head so the strings can be longer since the main purpose of the shield is to help maintain the length of the strings that used to come out of the old spindle head.
I shouldn't have to say this but you should always wear eye protection when using any power tool and ear protection is also a good idea.
